Our Taekwondo Kids

Our taekwondo kids in their taekwondo uniforms showing proudly their front kicks they have just learned recently from their instructor.

Every Thursday they're so excited to learn more new taekwondo lessons, especially, kicking techniques.

They were so inspired and encouraged to do their best for taekwondo after watching the Karate Kid.

Our Future Tennis World Champions

When they were still too young, they’re so inspired and encouraged to do everything that I repeatedly said to them, especially about tennis. In fact, they always wanted to go with me during my weekend tennis at the Chatuchak Park to learn it from me. They were so inspired about the story about a young Russian girl - Maria Sharapova - who became a Wimbledon Champion at the age of 17 years. I told them that she became millionaire at that very young age just because of tennis, and there’s no way that I could ever have the money she had over my entire life with my present work. So, with this, they’re so motivated to do well also in tennis one day.

Now, that they’re already a little bit grown ups, and has so many more ideas about many things around them, especially from their school, their interests to this sport has diminished.

I have wished that one day their interest about tennis will sprout once again and hope that by that time, it’s not too late yet.

Great and Wonderful Family Day

We woke up very early morning today for our two elder daughters' orientation for catechism which will formally start next Sunday. After which, we did our Sunday service with our choir colleagues and my family at St. John Church in Ladphrao.

After the mass, we hurried back home for my wife was still going to cook her second dish for our fellowship before our household prayer meeting with our CFC brothers and sisters.

After our prayer meeting, we rushed up to the Major Cineplex to watch our kids' most awaited movie "Karati Kid." All of us were enjoying the show - it's really very good, especially for the kids. I could relate my feeling when I was at the same age of the leading star.

Order or Make it Ourselves

In preparation to our household meeting for the next day, I and my wife were thinking whether to order our foods or just cook it ourselves. When we did our calculations, we had found out that it's lot more cheaper to do it ourselves. So, early Saturday morning, I went to the wet market to buy all the needed raw foods and ingredients for the next day's foods for fellowship after our household meeting with our brothers and sisters in our CFC community. Though it's not convenient for us, but it's a good opportunity us to do things together at least once in a while.

Our Struggles With Our Youngest Child

After one school year and about a month of going to school, after two-month break, we (I and wife) have struggled a lot on how to convince our youngest child to continue her schooling. One time we thought "Oh, it's fine because she is still very young. She started two years earlier than her elder sisters, in terms of age, and we can save a lot for this school year." But later on, we have realized that it's better for her to continue her schooling: for one thing, if she just stayed at home, my wife cannot do well her daily chores and we also thought that time could not be taken back.

So, we tried again and again until after about a week of convincing her, and I don't know what my wife's latest strategy, finally Johannah, let her Mom left her at school after two hours watching her doing her school works.

I just pray and hope that it will last until the end of this school year.

If you have this kind of experience, please, kindly share how did you manage your problem similar this one.

Thank you very much and have a nice day. God bless!
